3 Peaks Challenge June 2011.

***'A' Challenge Event available***
***'B' Challenge Event available***

For mountain safety and the important journey between Peaks, a team accepting the 2011 3 Peaks Challenge, (by the Fire Service ‘Method’) must consist of a minimum of four climbers/walkers, plus two separate drivers. The maximum number a team may consist of is seven walkers and three support/drivers. This must be with a reliable minibus for comfort. Once a team has declared the number of walkers starting on each peak, they must always stay close together and keeping only to the designated routes, pass through a series of check points. Larger groups tend to be slower, but even at the pace of the slowest, the Challenge is achievable within 24 hours and sensible pacing should add to the quality of the experience.

The website of the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service Mountaineering Club.

The site is intended to provide a forum for members of Fire and Ice Mountaineering Club to access and share information and experiences. It is designed for the club to post reports, reviews and images of completed trips, and share details of planned trips so that members of the club can access details from the organiser. Although this is very much a site for club participation, it is hoped that it will provide club members and visitors alike with the inspiration to go out and experience something special with like-minded friends.’
